my first lightning pics!! 7/10/08
so i've never taken an actual lightning pic before, well i've tried but never actually caught the lightning stroke itself. obviously there is a certain way and equipment that you can get that allows lightning photography to be pretty easy, but i don't have the type of camera needed. this night there was a storm moving across mainly southern omaha and points to the south of there. we had moved to our new place in northern omaha so i had a pretty good view of the storm off my deck. it was about 1130 or so at night and there was almost continuous cloud to cloud lightning occuring with the storm. so i took my camera out on the deck and just started clicking. i think i ended up taking some 70 pics or so and only got these couple of pics that had any lightning in them! oh well it was still fun i guess!

Georgia has attacked South Ossetia. At 3:30 08.08.2008 tanks of the
Georgian armies have entered into city Tskhinvali. Artillery
bombardment all the day long proceeded, fights with use of tanks and
heavy combat material, both against ossetic armies, and against peace
inhabitants were conducted. 2000 civil people already were lost. The
Russian peacemakers have arrived to South Ossetia in the evening
08.08.2008 for settlement of the conflict and prompting of the world in
republic and protection of the Russian citizens living on territory of
South Ossetia. Georgia has attacked South Ossetia on eve of Olympiad,
